John has a demonstrated history of working in the Title IX and civil rights space with educational institutions. He is an effective communicator and manages sensitive matters with discretion and impartiality. John has particular expertise with case management protocols and documentation in Title IX matters. As a Case Manager, John provides comprehensive case management support for Aleta’s team of attorneys in the areas of investigations and hearings, as well as interim support for clients on Title IX and civil rights matters. John manages a high-volume case load, supporting attorneys in all aspects of investigations and hearing processes including case intake, record keeping, evidence collection, and preparation of written reports. John also serves as an institution-appointed advisor for parties in Title IX and civil rights hearings.  

Before joining Aleta, John worked at an Ivy League College as the Intake and Resolutions Manager. In that role, John was responsible for conducting intake of complaints made to the Title IX Office, providing support to parties throughout the Title IX process, and supporting internal and external investigators, hearings officers, and the Title IX Office in the College’s resolution process, including as a Hearing Manager. John also provided the campus community with education and training related to preventing and responding to sexual and gender-based misconduct. In addition, John has experience as a Victim Advocate, assisting victims through the criminal justice process, and as a Social Worker, handling sensitive cases and supporting individuals and families.
